Luigi Maxmilian Caligiuri, born in Cosenza, Italy, on 30 November 1972, received degree in Physics magna cum laude from University of Calabria, Cosenza, Italy in 1995. He has started research and teaching activities at University of Calabria in several fields of theoretical and applied physics. From 2001 he is full professor of Physics and, from 2013, also the director of the Foundation of Physics Research Center (FoPRC) in Italy, an independent international research organization devoted to advanced research in Physics.
He has received several international awards in the field of theoretical and applied physics and engineering. He is expert member of the International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI) and belongs to European Quantum Flagship.
He has published several papers in international journals of physics and engineering and is editorial board member of many international journals in the fields of theoretical and applied physics. His most recent interests include, in particular, the development of coherent quantum field theory and its application to different fields (including fundamental physics, cosmology, biophysics, quantum computation and artificial intelligence) and the physics of tachyons.
He is considered a world expert of Quantum Hypercomputing and Coherent Quantum Field Theory
